The Original Petition

Image
On January 13, 2023 Kerri Jeter wrote the petition (see it below) and wanted to have 1,000 signatures by 1/17/2023, when she and Sarah Fox met with our 35th District Legislators, Rep. Dan Griffey and Rep. Travis Couture. When they sat down inside Rep. Griffey's office, 1,746 had signed the petition. By the time, we turned the petition off, there were almost 3,000 signatures. We exercised our freedom to petition and our representatives went INTO ACTION! They are working to sponsor bills and make changes to the laws pertaining to SVPs—Sexually Violent Predators. Thank you to everyone who signed the petition and helped get the message out there on this critical matter of public safety.
